African Ambassadors Group joins ONE and OPIC in Push to Electrify Africa

image001 2Ambassador Fátima Veiga was one the African Ambassadors who joined efforts with the NGO ONE and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), to discuss and raise awareness of the need to increase access to electricity in Africa. The event took place at istanbul escort Capitol Hill on July 25th, 2013, where individuals from the public, private and non-profit sectors participated.

Energy is at the top of Cape Verde’s strategic development agenda and the Government has set ambitious goals, and made fast progress, towards electrifying the islands mainly by tapping into renewable energy sources.
